You start as the Chaser when the match picks you, or you become one after a Runner is downed and not revived. You win by converting every Runner.
Tools with published prices
| Ability | Reported cost | What the October 6 guide says |
|---|---|---|
| Rocket Shoes | 850 Gems | Dash from a standstill along your movement or camera direction. Lowest priority of the three. |
| Big Dagger | 900 Gems | Doubles melee range for the next hit. The buff lasts 5 seconds. |
| Rufus's Leash | 1,200 Gems | Throw a leash forward and pull a Runner up to 6 studs. Top Chaser pick in that guide. |
Banana Peel is the Chaser consumable in that guide. It trips on contact. A Coin price was not published. Equip one consumable at a time.
How to land the knife
- Watch acceleration, not the avatar's current feet. Runners slide after they release a key and can Alt-stop.
- Swing where they are going, not where the model is when you click.
- Step into a cluster when you can. A hit on any Runner in the pack still converts that player if they are not revived.
- Drop a Banana Peel on the lane most Runners are already using, then take the knife hit while they are tripped.
- Save Rufus's Leash for a Runner who keeps winning the dash. A 6-stud pull removes the gap those jukes need.
- Big Dagger is the range tool for the next swing. It does not make every later swing longer after the 5 seconds.
Rocket Shoes help when you are stopped and the Runner is leaving on a diagonal. They are not a substitute for reading the coast. The October 6 guide ranks them under the leash and the dagger.
Knife skins change the weapon's look in the community list. None of those names comes with a published damage or range bonus. Do not buy a Robux knife expecting a longer hit unless the pass description says so. The passes checked on October 10 do not.
